ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,389,197, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).
"Collaborative social distancing" was invented by Joel Viale (Vence, France), Frederic Bauchot (La Tourraque, France) and Zsolt Szalai (Tourrettes-sur-Loup, France).
