ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,289,338, issued on April 29, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).

"Threat disposition analysis and modeling using supervised machine learning" was invented by Gary I. Givental (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), Aankur Bhatia (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Paul J. Dwyer (Pewaukee, Wis.).

In response to receipt of a security threat identified in an alert, a threat disposition score (TDS) is retrieved.
