ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,324, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to INTEGRATED DNA TECHNOLOGIES INC. (Coralville, Iowa).

"Lachnospiraceae sp. Cas12a mutants with enhanced cleavage activity at non-canonical TTTT protospacer adjacent motifs" was invented by Liyang Zhang (North Liberty, Iowa) and Christopher Anthony Vakulskas (North Liberty, Iowa).
