ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,371,731, issued on July 29, was assigned to INTEGRATED DNA TECHNOLOGIES INC. (Coralville, Iowa).
"Normalization of NGS library concentration" was invented by Vladimir Makarov (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Sergey Chupreta (Gregory, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bottleneck in the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflow is the quantification of libraries for accurate pooling and loading of the sequencing instrument flow cell or chip. Disclosed herein are methods that improve performance and reduce time compared to existing methods."
