ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,434,057, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Inspire Medical Systems Inc. (Golden Valley, Minn.).
"Power element for an implantable medical device" was invented by Kevin Verzal (Golden Valley, Minn.), Dave Dieken (Golden Valley, Minn.) and John Rondoni (Golden Valley, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An implantable medical device includes sealingly contained circuitry comprising stimulation circuitry, a sealingly contained power element to supply power to the circuitry, and an electrode array including a first electrode."
The patent was filed on Sept. 19, 2022, under Application No. 17/947,626.
