US Patent Issued to INSITRO on March 25 for "Discovery platform" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,260,945, issued on March 25, was assigned to INSITRO INC. (South San Francisco, Calif.).

"Discovery platform" was invented by Francesco Paolo Casale (San Francisco), Michael Bereket (San Carlos, Calif.) and Matthew Albert (San Francisco).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to a discovery platform including machine-learning techniques for using medical imaging data to study a phenotype of interest, such as complex diseases with weak or unknown genetic drivers. An exemplary method identifying a covariant of interest with respect to drug response phenotype (DRP) of a treatment is disclosed."
