ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,303, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Inogen Inc. (Goleta, Calif.).
"Compact portable oxygen concentrator" was invented by Brenton Taylor (Kenwood, Calif.), Peter Hansen (Santa Barbara, Calif.), Patrick Burgess (Dunedin, Fla.) and Daniel Chin (Goleta, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Portable oxygen concentrator elements are described including integrated sensor/accumulator assemblies, new muffler designs, and improved airflow and internal gas connectivity. The result of the elements is an extremely compact, light reliable portable oxygen concentrator that is easy to assemble and relatively inexpensive."
