ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,527,778, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to Innovative Molecules GMBH (Munich).

"Enantiomers of a series of antiviral compounds" was invented by Gerald Kleymann (Bad Salzuflen, Germany) and Christian Gege (Ehingen, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to novel antiviral compounds with specific stereoconfiguration, especially to specific novel enantiomers, to a process for their preparation and to their use as medicaments, in particular as antiviral medicaments."
