ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,240,363, issued on March 4, was assigned to Innotec Corp. (Zeeland, Mich.).

"Headrest tube and method of forming same" was invented by Hassan Salim Rabe (Holland, Mich.), Micah Lane Schreur (Hudsonville, Mich.) and Ryan Scott Hoek (Jenison, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides a method of manufacturing a headrest stay formed end. The method includes cutting teeth on the insertion end of a headrest stay and pressing the teeth inwardly to form a chamfered endform on the insertion end. A headrest stay having a chamfered endform comprising a plurality of curved teeth is also provided."
