ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,365,614, issued on July 22, was assigned to Inland Environmental Resources Inc. (Spokane, Wash.).

"Method for wastewater treatment" was invented by Douglas G. Kelley (Wenatchee, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compositions, systems, and methods of using alkaline-producing Aluminate salts in the sludge collection and digestion steps of zoo wastewater processing to reduce acidity and/or build alkalinity, reduce hydrogen sulfide release, and reduce phosphate in the effluent."

The patent was filed on May 25, 2022, under Application No. 17/824,370.
