ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,397,285, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Process for converting carbon oxide into methanol" was invented by Man-Yin Lo (Zhubei, Taiwan), Yen-Chih Chen (Changhua, Taiwan) and Nai-Chia Cheng (New Taipei, Taiwan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process of utilizing the catalyst for converting carbon oxide into methanol is provided. The process includes putting a catalyst into a fixed bed reactor and introducing a gas mixture of hydrogen and the carbon oxide into the fixed bed reactor, and performing a hydrogenation reaction under the effect of the catalyst to form the methanol"...
