ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,609, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Industrial Microbes Inc. (Emeryville, Calif.).

"Heterologous expression of short-chain monooxygenases in microorganisms" was invented by Elizabeth Jane Clarke (San Francisco), Baolong Zhu (San Diego), Derek Lorin Greenfield (Kensington, Calif.), Stephanie Rhianon Jones (Berkeley, Calif.) and Noah Charles Helman (El Cerrito, Calif.).
