ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,830, issued on May 6, was assigned to Independence Materials Group LLC (Virginia Beach, Va.).
"System and method for mitigation of liquefaction" was invented by Donald James Moody (Ontario, Calif.) and Cliff Frazao (Ontario, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for the reduction of liquefaction potential within soil of a stratum located a distance deep below a foundation of a structure through the injection of a two-part polyurethane liquid forming a polymer foam."
The patent was filed on Nov. 4, 2022, under Application No. 18/052,836.
