ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,170, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to IMM Licensing LLC (Meadowbrook, Pa.).

"Composition comprising combination of rapamycin and metformin and use thereof for treating neurodegenerative diseases" was invented by Jeffrey M. Melin (Meadowbrook, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A formulation for treating neurodegenerative diseases comprising a combination of rapamycin and metformin in a molar ratio of about 20:1, 10:1, 5:1, 4:1, 3:1, or 1:1. A method of treating neurodegenerative diseases comprising administering the formulation comprising a combination of rapamycin and metformin in a molar ratio of about 20:1, 10:1, 5:1, 4:1, 3:1,...
