ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,358,112, issued on July 15, was assigned to Illinois Tool Works Inc. (Glenview, Ill.).
"Fastener-driving tool with chamber member retaining assembly" was invented by Larry Moeller (Schaumburg, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A combustion-powered fastener-driving tool that include a chamber member retainer assembly configured to enable the controller of the tool to prevent the chamber member of the tool from moving to an open unsealed position and to ensure the tool's combustion chamber remains sealed until the piston fully returns to its pre-firing position."
The patent was filed on Jan. 6, 2023, under Application No. 18/151,275.
