ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,355,821, issued on July 8, was assigned to Ikigai Labs Inc. (San Francisco).
"Policy selection system" was invented by Devavrat Dilitkumar Shah (Newton, Mass.), Nathaniel C. Lanier (Boston) and John N. Tsitsiklis (Lexington, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for selecting a policy includes evaluating a number of metrics for a number of policies including generating, for each policy of a number of policies, values of the metrics, the generating including applying the policy to a system to generate the values, processing the values of the metrics for the number of policies to determine a boundary of combinations of metric values...
