"Accessing gaming establishment account funds with a ticket voucher" was invented by Erik Petersen (Sparks, Nev.), Jeffery Shepherd (Reno, Nev.) and Kevin Higgins (Reno, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods that employ a ticket voucher to access funds maintained in a gaming establishment account in association with bypassing an automatic transfer of an amount of funds to the gaming establishment account."
