US Patent Issued to IGT on Nov. 4 for "Funding gaming establishment account with external account payment instrument" (Nevada Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,462,644, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).

"Funding gaming establishment account with external account payment instrument" was invented by Jeffery Shepherd (Reno, Nev.) and Kevin Higgins (Reno, Nev.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods that enable indirect fund transfers between a gaming establishment account and an external account accessed in association with a payment instrument, such as a debit card."
