"Service window messaging of different wireless connection statuses between a mobile device and an electronic gaming machine" was invented by Erik B. Petersen (Sparks, Nev.) and Kevin M. Higgins (Reno, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system that utilizes a service window displayed by an electronic gaming machine to indicate to a player different wireless connection statuses of a mobile device."
The patent was filed on Jan. 4, 2024, under Application No. 18/404,555.
