ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,361,482, issued on July 15, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).

"Tracking line of credit fund transfers between an electronic gaming machine and a gaming establishment account" was invented by Jeffery Shepherd (Reno, Nev.) and Kevin Higgins (Reno, Nev.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system that facilitates a transfer of an amount of funds associated with a line of credit to a gaming establishment account and then to a gaming device, such as an EGM, wherein the amount of funds associated with the line of credit is separately tracked by the system."

The patent was filed on April 7, 2021, under Application No. 17/224,707.
