ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,361,794, issued on July 15, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).

"Banked bonus player selection" was invented by Chris Peterson (Reno, Nev.), Nick Hillstrom (Otis Orchards, Wash.), Yu Chong (Reno, Nev.) and Nathan Ajhar (Sparks, Nev.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Gaming systems and method that provide a banked bonus player selection feature including a symbol display such as a displayed wheel having a plurality of displayed player selectable sections for a play of a multi-player game."

The patent was filed on Dec. 12, 2023, under Application No. 18/536,699.
