"Modifying values of accumulated symbols" was invented by Michael DeBrabander (Reno, Nev.), Jennifer Warner (Reno, Nev.), Kelsy Foster (Reno, Nev.) and Boris Hallerbach (Reno, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Gaming systems and methods that randomly modify a value of an accumulated symbol upon each occurrence of a modification event."
The patent was filed on Feb. 6, 2024, under Application No. 18/434,190.
