US Patent Issued to IGT on Jan. 27 for "Modifying values of accumulated symbols" (Nevada Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,536,872, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).

"Modifying values of accumulated symbols" was invented by Michael DeBrabander (Reno, Nev.), Jennifer Warner (Reno, Nev.), Kelsy Foster (Reno, Nev.) and Boris Hallerbach (Reno, Nev.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Gaming systems and methods that randomly modify a value of an accumulated symbol upon each occurrence of a modification event."

The patent was filed on Feb. 6, 2024, under Application No. 18/434,190.
