ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,488,656, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).
"Modifying progressive award parameters" was invented by Erik Petersen (Reno, Nev.) and Kevin Higgins (Reno, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods that modify one or more parameters associated with a progressive award based on one or more parameters of a gaming device associated with the progressive award."
The patent was filed on Sept. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/367,717.
