ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,277,838, issued on April 15, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).
"Gaming system and method for providing poker games with alternative gaming presentations" was invented by Kit Seaton (Billings, Mont.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Gaming systems that determine a total award based on a play of a card game and a play of a supplemental game and then display the determined total award via an alternative gaming presentation different from the play of the card game and the play of the supplemental game."
