ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,227,471, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to IDEMITSU KOSAN Co. LTD. (Chiyoda-ku, Japan).
"Polyalkylene glycol-based compound" was invented by So Nakajima (Edogawa-ku, Japan) and Yukio Yoshida (Ichihara, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A polyalkylene glycol-based compound may have formula (1):wherein R1 is a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 42 ring carbon atoms; R2 is a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 42 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom; R3 is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms; and m is a number in a range of from 1 to 40."
