ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,289,995, issued on April 29, was assigned to IDEMITSU KOSAN Co. LTD. (Tokyo).

"Compound, material for organic electroluminescent element, organic electroluminescent element and electronic device" was invented by Hiromi Nakano (Sodegaura, Japan), Hisato Matsumoto (Sodegaura, Japan) and Yuichi Nishimae (Basel, Switzerland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A compound is represented by a formula (1). In the formula (1), at least one combination of adjacent two or more of R1 to R17 are mutually bonded to form a ring represented by a formula (2), in which RX1 to RX4 and R1 to R17 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a substituent or the like,"...
