US Patent Issued to Iconex on June 10 for "Single ply piggyback label" (Tennessee Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,327,498, issued on June 10, was assigned to Iconex LLC (Duluth, Ga.).

"Single ply piggyback label" was invented by Timothy Darren Livingston (Corryton, Tenn.) and James Kirby Price (Morristown, Tenn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A label combination for a single ply piggyback label is provided. The label combination includes a primary label with a silicone release patch disposed on a front side of the primary label. An adhesive coating is disposed on a backside of a removable label. The backside of removable label is disposed over the silicone release patch on the front side of the primary label to form the label combination."
