ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,274,697, issued on April 15, was assigned to Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York).

"Compositions and methods for treating EZH2-mediated cancer" was invented by Jian Jin (New York), Ramon Parsons (Manhasset, N.Y.), Ilias Stratikopoulos (New York), Xiaobao Yang (New York) and Anqi Ma (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for designing bivalent compounds which selectively degrade/disrupt EZH2 and compositions and methods of using such degraders/disruptors to treat EZH2-mediated cancer are provided."

The patent was filed on Nov. 1, 2022, under Application No. 17/978,696.
