US Patent Issued to HYUNDAI MOTOR, KIA on Sept. 2 for "Fuel cell system and control method thereof" (South Korean Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,407,006, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY (Seoul, South Korea) and KIA Corp. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Fuel cell system and control method thereof" was invented by Min Gu Park (Hwaseong-si, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fuel cell system and a control method thereof reduce a hydrogen exhaust amount and perform precise control in a low output section through the control of an air recirculation line and an air recirculation valve that recirculate the air discharged from the cathode of a fuel cell stack to the cathode."
