ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,337,947, issued on June 24, was assigned to Hyundai Motor Co. (Seoul, South Korea) and Kia Corp. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Dispersion structure for impact" was invented by Won Ki Song (Seongnam-si, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Proposed is a structure. The structure includes a front body frame configured to surround a front surface of an airframe, a crash unit disposed at a front end of the body front frame, and a dash reinforcement assembly fastened to the front body frame and disposed on the rear surface of the crash unit."
