ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,888, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Hyundai Motor Co. (Seoul, South Korea) and Kia Corp. (Seoul, South Korea).
"Battery assembly" was invented by Seok Eun Yoon (Seoul, South Korea), Yu Ri Oh (Hwaseong-Si, South Korea) and In Gook Son (Incheon, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery assembly includes a housing in which a battery module is accommodated, members dividing an internal space of the housing, a through pipe penetrating the inside of each of the members on one point of the member, and a through bolt inserted into the through pipe."
The patent was filed on Sept. 19, 2023, under Application No. 18/369,999.
