ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,109, issued on May 13, was assigned to HYCO1 Inc. (Houston).

"Syngas and method of making the same" was invented by Gregory Carr (Houston), David DeVilliers (Katy, Texas) and Kurt A. Dieker (Maize, Kan.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A catalyst may include a metal oxide substrate comprising a nickel species, wherein an exposed surface of the catalyst comprises at least some of the nickel species and the exposed surface is substantially nonporous."

The patent was filed on April 17, 2024, under Application No. 18/638,330.
