ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,486,362, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to HUNTSMAN INTERNATIONAL LLC.
"Polyester polyol comprising an imide moiety and methods of manufacture thereof" was invented by Kai Xi (The Woodlands, Texas), David J. Shieh (The Woodlands, Texas), Lifeng Wu (The Woodlands, Texas) and Sachchida Singh (The Woodlands, Texas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of forming an aromatic polyester polyol compound comprising an imide moiety, wherein the method comprises reacting: (i) a cyclic anhydride compound; (ii) a phthalic acid based compound; (iii) a primary amine compound; and (iv) an aliphatic diol compound."
