ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,986, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Hunter Fan Co. (Memphis, Tenn.).
"Ceiling fan with quick connection" was invented by Charles William Botkin (Cordova, Tenn.), Douglas Troy Mason (Horn Lake, Miss.) and Rickey Thomas Jones (Memphis, Tenn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A ceiling fan assembly or similar air-moving device can include a motor for rotating one or more blades to drive a volume of air about a space. The ceiling fan assembly comprising multiple assemblies, which, can comprise multiple components. A quick connector can be provided for securing together the multiple assemblies and/or the multiple components."
