ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. D1,079,926, issued on June 17, was assigned to Hunter Fan Co. (Memphis, Tenn.).
"Ceiling fan" was invented by Vladlena Belozerova (Philadelphia), John Depler Coleman (Philadelphia), Christopher John Murray (Philadelphia) and Patrick R. O'Connell (Germantown, Tenn.).
