ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,456,853, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to Hubbell Inc. (Shelton, Conn.).

"Electrical box cable connector" was invented by Krzysztof Korcz (Shelton, Conn.) and Steven Johnson (Shelton, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrical box assembly and cable connector are provided. The cable connector includes a connector housing and a cable retaining member that releasably secures an electrical cable within the connector housing. The electrical box assembly includes an electrical box and a cable connector. The electrical box assembly may also include a box separator."
