US Patent Issued to HUBBELL on May 13 for "Universal mount cover plate for electrical boxes" (Indiana Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,300,989, issued on May 13, was assigned to HUBBELL Inc. (Shelton, Conn.).

"Universal mount cover plate for electrical boxes" was invented by Victor Beristany (South Bend, Ind.), Krzysztof Wojciech Korcz (Granger, Ind.) and Krishna C. Patel (Granger, Ind.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cover plate that is connectable to an electrical box includes a body configured to mount to a stud, a brace assembly, or in a gang application on opposite sides of the stud."

The patent was filed on Feb. 14, 2023, under Application No. 18/168,999.
