ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,327,985, issued on June 10, was assigned to Hubbell Inc. (Shelton, Conn.).

"Adjustable width power distribution block" was invented by Troy Reynolds (Derry, N.H.) and Richard Robicheau (Litchfield, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrical distribution block includes a first base, a second base, and a spacer plate discrete from the first and second base. The spacer plate is positioned between first base and the second base and secures the first base to the second base. A conductor block is connected to at least one of the first base or the second base. The conductor block includes a primary tap and a secondary tap."
