ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,348,033, issued on July 1, was assigned to Hubbell Inc. (Shelton, Conn.).
"Automated electric vehicle charging" was invented by Matthew Samojeden (Rye, N.Y.) and Shawn Monteith (Burlington, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method including may storing, in a memory, a rate profile of a power grid, the rate profile providing a mapping between a plurality of rates. The method further including generating, using an electronic processor and based on the rate profile, a charging profile.
