ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,420,570, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to HP SCITEX LTD. (Netanya, Israel).
"Print zone encoder" was invented by Alex Veis (Netanya, Israel) and Semion Birger (Netanya, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In one example, a system to support print media through a print zone in a printer includes an endless support belt, a driver to circulate the support belt through the print zone, and an encoder unit under the print zone to measure movement of the support belt in the print zone."
