ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. PP36,672, issued on May 13, was assigned to HORTIVAL DIFFUSION (Beaufort en Anjou, France).

"Hibiscus plant named 'Minsygdrou02'" was invented by Pierre Chaussard (Saint Mathurin sur Loire, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new cultivar of Hibiscus named 'Minsygdrou02' that is characterized by its large sized semi-double flowers that are deep pink-red in color, its flowers with small sized petaloids, its upright plant habit and its vigorous growth habit."

The patent was filed on Oct. 11, 2024, under Application No. 18/913,560.
