ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,548,879, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Honeywell International Inc. (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Apparatus and method for coupling electromagnetic energy into a cavity of a resonator which includes one or more loop-gap resonators" was invented by Charles Rhoads (North Hollywood, Calif.) and Chad Fertig (Roseville, Minn.).
