US Patent Issued to Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies on Jan. 13 for "Polymerizing grafted nanoparticles using flow chemistry" (Missouri, Kansas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,521,917, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies LLC (Kansas City, Mo.).

"Polymerizing grafted nanoparticles using flow chemistry" was invented by Sabrina Marie Wells Torres (Lee's Summit, Mo.), Laura Christine Cummings (Kansas City, Mo.) and Connor Daniel Pearson (Overland Park, Kan.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process for forming polymer-grafted nanoparticles is provided. The process utilizes flow chemistry techniques to activate nanoparticle surfaces and then form polymer chains on the activated surfaces in a continuous process, thus avoiding the limitations and shortcomings of batch proc...
