ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,438,171, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Output integration system for a plurality of fuel cell engines, and fuel cell vehicle equipped with such an output integration system" was invented by Yuki Fukunishi (Tokyo), Shunichi Hirao (Wako, Japan) and Sohei Takeda (Wako, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A required output (power consumption amount) of each of loads to which electrical power generated by fuel cell stacks is supplied is adjusted, in a manner so that a difference in a residual amount of fuel in the fuel tanks between fuel cell engines is reduced."
