ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,654, issued on May 13, was assigned to Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A windshield retention assembly includes a windshield, a windshield retention bracket including a lower bracket portion and a tab extended from the lower bracket portion, and an outer adhesion bead bonding the lower bracket portion to the windshield, wherein the tab is extended beyond an edge of the windshield."
