US Patent Issued to Honda Motor on June 17 for "Truck mounting of engine battery and motor" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,624, issued on June 17, was assigned to Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Truck mounting of engine battery and motor" was invented by Toru Kawai (Wako, Japan), Runa Nakamura (Wako, Japan) and Masaki Takahashi (Wako, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A truck is provided. An electric motor generates a traveling drive force. A battery supplies power to the electric motor. An engine drives a generator capable of charging the battery. The battery is provided between the electric motor and the engine in a front-and-rear direction of the truck."

The patent was filed on June 1, 2022, under Application No. 17/830,031.
