ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,488,924, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).
"Magnetizing device" was invented by Toshitaka Kato (Wako, Japan), Shinji Nemoto (Wako, Japan) and Tokio Taira (Wako, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A magnetizing device includes at least one coil unit that generates a magnetic field. The coil unit includes a support, a coil wound around an outer circumferential surface of the support, and a fiber reinforced resin. The fiber reinforced resin is wound around the coil to prevent deformation of the coil in a direction away from a central axis of the coil."
