ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,306,462, issued on May 20, was assigned to Hologic Inc. (Marlborough, Mass.).

"Methods for acquiring images of cells within a specimen on a slide" was invented by Barry F. Hunt (Nashua, N.H.), Jeffrey D. Struven (Nashua, N.H.) and Sidney H. Mayer (Carlisle, Mass.).
