ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,019, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Hologic Inc. (Marlborough, Mass.).
"X-ray mammography and/or breast tomosynthesis using a compression paddle with an inflatable jacket enhancing imaging and improving patient comfort" was invented by Kenneth F. DeFreitas (Patterson, N.Y.), Ian Shaw (Swampscott, Mass.) and Timothy R. Stango (Sandy Hook, Conn.).
