ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,488,913, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Holland Electronics LLC (Ventura, Calif.).

"Guarded coaxial cable assembly" was invented by Scott Hatton (Fillmore, Calif.) and Michael Holland (Santa Barbara, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A guarded coaxial cable assembly includes a micro-coaxial cable and a metal rail for protecting the micro-coaxial cable from harmful compression."

The patent was filed on Sept. 25, 2023, under Application No. 18/372,327.
